I really like “Don’t Stop Believing”, and this version is killer… The “Guilt By Association” album has been one of my favorites for the past few months, finding this video was fortuitous…

Joscho Stephan

I’m not a huge fan of Gypsy Jazz (which is to say I’ve never given it a chance), but I am a fan of great guitar playing in general. This kid (I say kid as he is in his early 20s) has some major skills… This is Joscho Stephan doing his version of Bossa Dorado and keeping me entertained enough to watch it at least 10 times…

Never trust robots. How in the hell did i miss this video?

This video/song was a big hit in 2005 but somehow i missed it. The song is We’re in Business by Andrew Thompson. It has some very important lessons about why one never should never trust robots. Don’t leave them with your kids, dont take them along for trips, and dont take them to work. Not only is it an entertaining video, but it’s a damn good song.

p.s. it reminds me of the robot song by flight of the conchords. also great. and a damn good show.

Look for this album next week

Be on the lookout for the release next week of the 1st album by She & Him. It looks very promising. Alright, i’ll admit it, i’ve heard the album, but I intend to go purchase it when it comes out. The band is a project by actress Zooey Deschanel and musician M. Ward. It has a few very interesting covers as well as many original works, and is a kind of tour of the history of american music. It has jazz songs, country songs, Motown type tunes and is all around a really exciting release. Keep in mind thought that it is in no way transformative, groundbreaking, or eye-opening. It is however, a really really great album. I’m posting the tune that they released as a free download on myspace, so i dont think i can get in trouble there.
