It was decided BY AN ONLINE POLL. The Hall of Fame is not making that decision, nor is major league baseball. As of right now, there is no official asterisk associated with the record.
The dude could have written “I am the one who really hit this home run” on the ball, and it would still be going to the Hall of Fame, and it would still be Barry Bonds who hit the home run in the record books.
Well… yeah. That’s what the story says… . . . I’m confused by your outrage or anger at the subject…
ALL CAPS IS A GOOD WAY TO MAKE A POINT!!11!!1!1!!11
Yeah, whether you think it’s right or wrong for him to do it, it smells like marketing stunt. He’s a fashion designer? I bet a lot more people are checking out his website and visiting his store(?) today than were a week ago. So…he got what he wanted.
I CAN USE THE SHIFT KEY TOO!!!!!
I just wanted to point out that this was not an official decision. This crappy comments interface doesn’t allow for italics or bold font, so how else are you supposed to make emphasis?
I think it was a judicious and appropriate use of all capital letters. I’d also like to point out that I didn’t use any exclamation points in my comment, which makes both of you reactionary assholes.
I CAN HAS OVERREACTION?
I don’t know if you “can has overreaction”, Mr. Whiskers.
Honestly, that’s a question only you and your prayers can answer.
You can has overreaction. In this world, you can has anything you want.
