Pat Tillman Was Murdered
…and Bush & Co. tried to cover it up… I hope this shit blows up in their dirty little faces…
From AP:
SAN FRANCISCO -
Army medical examiners were suspicious about the close proximity of the three bullet holes in Pat Tillman’s forehead and tried without success to get authorities to investigate whether the former NFL player’s death amounted to a crime, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.
“The medical evidence did not match up with the, with the scenario as described,” a doctor who examined Tillman’s body after he was killed on the battlefield in Afghanistan in 2004 told investigators.
The doctors - whose names were blacked out - said that the bullet holes were so close together that it appeared the Army Ranger was cut down by an M-16 fired from a mere 10 yards or so away.
…
The Pentagon and the Bush administration have been criticized in recent months for lying about the circumstances of Tillman’s death. The military initially told the public and the Tillman family that he had been killed by enemy fire. Only weeks later did the Pentagon acknowledge he was gunned down by fellow Rangers.
With questions lingering about how high in the Bush administration the deception reached, Congress is preparing for yet another hearing next week.
As Firedoglake put it:
In other words, Pat Tillman was most likely murdered in the field. In cold blood. By other US soldiers.
The Redneck Tenors
America’s Got Talent is a great show. It’s variety format holds my attention quite well, and the redneck tenors are a great example of what this show is all about. Enjoy!
Some of Gravel’s 4 minutes…
It should be easy to show off the four minutes gravel got during the debate, but this is some impassioned speech on the war in both Vietnam and Iraq…
I believe our American brothers and sisters are dying in vain in Iraq right now… We are going to leave that country at some point in the future, and unless we are there to impose our belief system on the Iraqi people, they will turn around and slaughter each other once we leave. That seems almost inevitable (and depressing as hell) so we must figure out the best way to accomplish a full withdrawal. The passing of legislation yesterday that made it illegal to have permanent US military bases in Iraq is a good first step.
“I like the question and I don’t get many of them.” Right on Gravel…
Another bloggers comments on this, which I agree with.. Good read… Click..
I’d forgotten how sweet this guy was…
Holy shit… This guy has the moves that start a fire in my soul… Look at that sway… Fuck yeah… Hey, look, even the black guy (::cough-bartender-cough::) can dig it…
To be 100% honest, this song does make me smile/dance/feelgood/groove/sway… Oh Rick Astley… Where did you go…
(That was for all you BTTF fans out there…)
Mike Gravel at length…
Most of Mike Gravel’s statements (that people have seen) are 5 minutes in length or so, and that doesn’t do justice to what the man is capable of… If you have half an hour, please listen to this man speak… If anyone has great speeches from other candidates, I would love to see them as well… Please realize that this man is one of the few candidates willing to say the things that need to be said and I’m disappointed that he is pushed to the side… Enjoy…
The Pope is smarter than Texas
Two news items came to my attention today.
First, the Governor of Texas (Rick “the dick” Perry) has appointed a creationist to head the Texas State Board of Education. This is not good. Soon texas is going to require that science textbooks discuss intelligent design. The textbook companies, needing to sell textbooks in texas, are going to comply. Then we’re gonna see these textbooks being forced on other school systems who have no choice but to buy the textbooks that the companies are selling. The same texbooks that were made to please the Texas State Board of Education.
Then i saw that The Pope commented on this debate, calling it an “absurdity”. Hey if the Pope says evolution does not conflict with faith, why cant Texas get it’s act together?
Fuck you Rick Perry. You’re a idiot, a moron, and a fucktard.
digg my shit
You may have seen the post about Ketchup Man, the hilarious commercial made for the Heinz ketchup contest. Izz on digg now, so you should go and digg it.
If you missed it, here’s the previous post.
Ketchup man forever!
I’m not hating on digg, this is just interesting…
Do kids still say “hating on”?
Anyways, this is a clip from The Screen Savers on techTV from December 13, 2004. This is interesting, as Kevin Rose already had ownership of the site you’re about to see… You hear him mumble (and he appears to catch himself) saying “…let me show you mine”, but that isn’t made very clear to anyone who doesn’t quite understand that he owned the site, or doesn’t speak mumble. He keeps saying “they” as almost some way to distance himself from the comment of “mine” earlier…
techTV… I know, I know… but still there is something to be said for journalistic integrity… Or at the very least forthrightness…
